About RADIO BOB
Regiocast in Hesse owns Radio Bob, a private radio station that has been airing from Kassel since August 5, 2008, and may be heard in Hesse on 24 FM frequencies. Radio Bob is the replacement program for SkyRadio Hessen. The restart was launched after the Kiel-based Regiocast Group acquired a stake in SkyRadio Hessen.
According to the station, the music format is a rock-oriented adult program (AC) with a main target audience of persons aged 30 and up ("over 30s"). The primary artists include major rock bands from the 1970s and 1980s, such as AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin, augmented by contemporary acts such as Rise Against and Volbeat. The first song played when the station began airing was AC/DC's Hells Bells.
